Nufiwa is Not Restrictive

Many diets focus on what you should cut out (no sugar, no wheat, no fats, no carbs, no eggs…). Nufiwa, on the other hand, focuses on what you should add in (nutrient, fiber, water-dense foods…yum).

The cool thing is, if you are ensuring that the bulk of what you eat is nutrient, water, fiber-dense foods (things like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes), then you have plenty of room to include some non-nufiwa foods (like meats, dairy, and occasional treats).

And remember, just because nufiwa encourages you to eat less of certain non-nufiwa foods (according to current recommendations), these foods are not necessarily bad. In reality, there are no bad foods, just foods that we should eat less of to maintain the best health and weight possible. It’s fun to enjoy some less nutritious treats every once in a while, but it’s best to do it in partnership with a consistent diet of nutritious foods. That way, you are not compromising your body.
